Thirty international travel bloggers and social media influencers visit Sri Lanka for the first time

In the modern world, travel has become a major lifestyle for many people. Such people who are fond of travel are use many of the social media networks of today's popular travel bloggers blogs and related social media influencers to choose their travel destinations. Therefore, travel bloggers and their social media networkers across the world have become international travel influencers for introducing travel enthusiasts to the attractive and special destinations of the travel industry. Dissemination of information about tourist destinations in the world especially through the world's most used social media networks such as Face book, twitter, youtube, instagram, tiktok, Linkedin is a major new trend that is seen spreading very rapidly in promoting Tourism today.

A group of major travel bloggers and social media network operators promoting the world's travel attractions through social media has now arrived in Sri Lanka since Sri Lanka is currently becoming one of the best travel destinations in the world.

It has been announced that the current President Anura Kumara Dissanayake's goal is to make the year 2025 which will bring the largest number of tourists to Sri Lanka. Therefore, Sri Lanka Tourism’s main aim is to get massive contributions from the world's most highly regarded travel bloggers and social media influencers   who promote Travel and Tourism, and in moving towards that goal, The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau has arranged to bring thirty (30) of the world's leading travel bloggers and popular tourism-related social media activists to Sri Lanka.

Accordingly, these thirty (30) travel bloggers from ten countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Australia, India, and Hong Kong visited the tourism promotion areas of all the nine provinces of the country for a period of ten (10) days from October 29 to November 8th, being ready to share the beauty, attractiveness and uniqueness of Sri Lanka through live videos among  their subscribers and fans, who are more than seventy lakhs up to date, says Mr. Buddhika Hewawasam, Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.

These International Travel Influencers will visit areas like Colombo, Jaffna, Anuradhapura, Habarana, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Negombo, Galle, Bentota Haputale, Badulla, Tissamaharama, Ratnapura and Udawalawa. This is the first time that a group of thirty internationally recognized travel bloggers will visit Sri Lanka for the same time.

Therefore, the aim of these bloggers is to promote the idea that Sri Lanka is a must-visit destination in South Asia in the coming December winter season (Winter Season) among the world's travel enthusiasts, Mr. Buddhika Hewawasam , Chairman SLTPB  added. He said this at a casual get together organized by the Tourism Promotion Bureau at the Mt. Lavinia Hotel beach to welcome these international travel bloggers, and share their experiences and views on Sri Lanka with Sri Lankan journalists. At the same time, these bloggers, who promote tourism attractions among travel enthusiasts across the world will be covering all the nine provinces of Sri Lanka, and will highlight the uniqueness, beauty and importance of travel in Sri Lanka through blogs and social media posts, presentations and live videos (1000 Posts), and all these will be featured advertise on their blogs and social media sites. These visiting travel bloggers include world famous travel bloggers such as Nivedith Gajapathi from India, Diana Bankale from Italy, world famous travel bloggers and social media influencers.

The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) says that this program is carried out jointly by Provincial Tourism Ministries, All Ceylon Tourism Hoteliers Association and Inbound Tourists Association.
