Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau organized its first Road Show in Singapore in a charm manner at Hilton Hotel on 8th July 2016 to promote the islands potential tourist industry partners. 15 industry partners joined with Sri Lanka Tourism to meet the potential agents and tour operators from both countries.

Sri Lanka Tourism invited from the various tour operators, DMC and media at the Hilton Hotel in Singapore. The event had been inaugurated lighting the traditional Oil Lam by invitees and Industry members from Sri Lanka and Singapore. President of NATAS participate the Road Show as Chief Guest and lighted the oil lamp with High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore.

The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore Mr. Nimal Weerarathne delivered his welcome Speech with briefing of the Singapore Sri Lanka bilateral relationship and benefit of the operating tourism Business with Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau Junior Manager Mr. Kalpa Gunasinghe represented and he addressed the audience in detail about Sri Lanka Tourism attraction and experience available in Sri Lanka. He was also highlighted the growth of tourism industry in Sri Lanka to support to achieve arrivals targets in 2016. Mr. Gunasinghe Junior Manager- SLTPB and Ms. Rekha Mallikarachchi – First Secretary Commercial, were making all the arrangements to make the event a success. Over 40 travel companies represented from Singapore and B2B meetings had with the Sri Lanka Tour operators and hoteliers at the event.

The attendees were offered with delicious three course dinner and lovely gift prizes that include two domestic air tickets host by Cinnamon air.
