Drowning prevention in Sri Lanka

During the period 3rd July to 7th July 2017 the main action plan has prepared by Ministry of Disaster Management and with related stake holders for drowning prevention in Sri Lanka.

Drowning related deaths in Sri Lanka is the second highest non-disease fatal accident recording over 850 deaths per year. Therefore special attention to be given all stake holders for preventive of the drowning people, specially in Sri Lanka tourism has many activities implementing with the collaboration of industry and provincial council in Sri Lanka.

The SLTDA has contributed and share the ideas with stake holders for preparing of new action plan. The SLTDA presentation is forwarded here with special gazette by the SLTDA pool safety guidelines were published. The all stake holders participate and contribute to the action plan for drowning prevention in Sri Lanka.
