Sri Lanka Showcases Tourism Potential at FITUR 2025

( Posted on February 5, 2025 )

Sri Lanka made a strong impression at FITUR 2025, one of the world's leading travel trade fairs held in Madrid, with a delegation of 28 companies representing the country’s vibrant tourism sector. The event, which attracted a record-breaking 255,000 attendees, provided an excellent platform for Sri Lanka to engage with key stakeholders, strengthen partnerships, and promote the destination’s diverse offerings to a global audience.

In addition to active participation in FITUR, Sri Lanka Tourism officials attended the UN Tourism Committee Meeting on Tourism Competitiveness, where Sri Lanka holds the position of Vice Chair. Representatives from the Sri Lankan Embassy in Paris also took part in the discussions.

As the global tourism industry continues to recover and expand, Sri Lanka remains focused on leveraging international platforms like FITUR to enhance its presence in key markets, attract high-value travelers, and reinforce its position as a premier travel destination.
