The impact of covid 19 is felt severely by the Tourism industry as the world closed its boarders for travel bringing the entire industry to stand still. However as the world slowly adjusted and moved into a new normal, travel is also expected to resume yet in a different shape and scale. As per the WTO, 70% of the destinations are now open for with stringent health guidelines and protocols which includes quarantine periods, minimum stays, bubble concept and contact tracing to name a few.

Adapting to the new normal travel, Sri Lanka Tourism is also exploring different segments and products to assist the industry. One such is the ‘RamayanYatra’ which is believed to be an ideal product offering with wellness, spirituality integrated that can be offered under the quarantine and other health guidelines.

Therefore, to stimulate a discussion in and around the subject and to explore the feasibility an industry webinar is being initiated by SLTPB. 6 global experts are expected to share their knowledge and expertise with the industry and a conceptual way forward is expected to be developed for the Indian market and specially for ‘RamayanYatra’ in the post-covid context for the tourism revival.

The webinar will take the form of a brief induction on opening up Tourism for India, Health and Safety protocols, Ramayan Product in the new norm and potential in India for Ramayanyathra in Sri Lanka over a period of 90 minutes of insights, discussion & analysis.

SLTPB invites all tourism industry stakeholders to tune in and to take part.
