Uva Expo 2016 Badulla Trade exhibition and carnival is organized by the Chief Minister of UVA Province Hon. Chamara Sampath Dasanayaka and his Ministries of Finance & planning, Law & Order, Education, Local Government, Power & Energy, Construction and Rural Infrastructure Development. The official UVA Expo 2016 ‘Endless Inspiration’ launching event was held on 19th September 2016 at Simon Peiris Memorial Hall (Town Hall) at a grand scale ceremony in Badulla.

This 5 daylong event will be held from 28th December 2016 to 01st of January 2017 at Uva Provincial council Library complex and Foot Ball Grounds, Badulla. This event hopes to attract many local and foreign Trade partners with expecting to draw average 25,000 to 30,000 people daily. Hon. Chief Minister wants to give UVA Province a very novel educational and entertainment experience by UVA Expo 2016 through promoting Trade and Tourism opportunities in the province and development of rural economy of the province by portraying its natural beauty and bring back the rich heritage of Uva Wellassa. This event is solely managed by West Ventures Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and supported by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, Asst High Commission of India in Kandy, Chamber of commerce Industry & Agriculture Monaragala and the Chamber of Commerce & Industries Badulla.

‘Uva Expo 2016’ will be a meeting place for many national and international development practitioners, government officials, small, medium and large enterprises, thought leaders, investors, financiers and development partners. With more than 300 stall participants there will be an ample opportunity to promote travel, trade and hospitality services by participating at Uva Expo 2016 trade and tourism exhibition.

This event will give the consumers of the province and around to experience new trends and developments of the fast moving consumer market and also project Uva as a tourist destination.
