‘Around the Pearl’ Cycle Ride

Around The Pearl Bike Ride organized by Wheels for Wheels foundation in support of Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Sri Lanka held for the 3rd consecutive year, is an endeavour to promote Sri Lanka as a preferred destination for cycling as well as to raise funds for wheelchairs for young sufferers with Cerebral Palsy. Over 120 riders will be taking part in the ride where 100 local amateur, professional & competitive riders and 20 foreign riders are expected. ‘The Around the Pearl’ initiative promotes riding cycles as a public mode of transport, raising awareness in public road safety rules. The ride covers the coastal belt of Sri Lanka including cities of Colombo, Mirissa, Kataragama, Pottuvil,Passikudah, Trincomalee, Mullaitivu, Jaffna, Marrichchukkaddi, Negombo& 100s of towns and it highlights the true cultural diversity of Sri Lanka.
