NuwaraEliya April Season

The annual New Year Season in NuwaraEliya, known as “SalalihiniWasanthaya”, which attracts an annual crowd of over 200,000 people during the April Season, is to be held this year also with great festivity throughout the month of April. The festival is full of special events like Annual Flower Show, Motor Races, Mud challenge, special water sports, Healthy Baby Competition, Horse Races, carnivals and many other fun-filled activities. The annual flower show is scheduled to be held on 23^rd and 24^th April, concluding with the prize giving, awarding the best flower growers in the area. Several motor sports have been organized to be held during the season, such as Mahagasthota Speed Hill Climb scheduled on 9^th and 10^th of April, Road races on 16^th, Motor Cross and Jeep Races from 15^th to 21^st. Many other sports tournaments such as cricket carnival and badminton tournament have also been organized, to give more excitement to the tourists.
